Because I haven't posted in awhile and have Things To Say!
Firstly, the new tattoo. I did end up getting it at Musink, it was totally awesome, and there will be pictures. Right now it's in its gross healing stage, so I'm waiting to take pictures until it's healed.
I've embarked on a post-Oscars movie kick, which isn't great for the money situation, but. Patronizing the arts, y'all! It helps that we have a great five-screen Laemmle right in town. I finally saw Slumdog Millionaire tonight and it was great. As everybody already knows, but there you have it! I am also planning to see The Wrestler on Thursday night - can't say no to my film BFF Darren Aronofsky! And I decided as well that I need to see The Reader on the big screen while I still have the chance. I downloaded a screener of it, but it was good enough that I want the full movie experience. Seriously, as my suitemate will tell you, I cried through the entire second half of that movie. Most moving thing I've seen in a very long time.
I also was lucky enough to go see all of the Oscar-nominated animated short films in Pasadena, which was really cool. Half of them were hilarious and the other half were SO DEPRESSING OMFG. Seriously, "Vermints" made me almost want to die, it was so depressing.
Other movies I'm currently looking forward to include Watchmen (kind of by default; I'm not at all invested in it actually), Sunshine Cleaning (AMY ADAMS <3), Adventureland (despite Kristen Stewart, lolz), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (shut up), and those are just the ones coming to our Claremont theater. There's also Julie & Julia... which, okay, in about three minutes spentstalking on IMDb made me go from pretty ecstatic (MERYL&AMY TOGETHER AGAIN OMG I TOTALLY SHIP THEM!!!) to almost tragically disappointed (THEY ACTUALLY HAVE NO SCENES TOGETHER, WTFIH8U).
And then there's WARCRAFT. I now have four characters in the world, three Hordies and one Alliance (just to see what it was like, shuddup). At this point my main is kind of stuck waiting for people to do dungeons/really hard Outlands questing with him, so I've been playing my new Troll priest a lot. And completely enjoying it! Also, my two WoW-playing suitemates and I decided to make new characters to play together LAN-party-style, which has been a ton of fun too! I finally have a Tauren druid and am loving it so far - the versatility!!!! Anyway, here are some screenshots of them:

Freyan, level 61 Tauren protection warrior, Rivendare server (PVP).

Alastir, level 10 Gnome combat rogue, The Scryers server (RP).

Jexxalia, level 20 Troll discipline priest, Rivendare server (PVP).

Eikani, level 11 Tauren restoration druid, Kil'jaeden server (PVP).
I have also become totally obsessed with Project Lore and have been watching through all of their episodes, despite not being high enough level to actually, ya know, do any of that stuff. ;) And last but not least, while doing group research on Google (YES I AM THAT KID), I came across this gem: Chinese Kid Becomes 'Fire Mage,' Sets Fire to Classmate. Only in China, indeed!
And then there's television. Without spoiling, I loved this past week's BSG and just want to scream I TOLD YOU SO! to all of you naysayers out there who didn't believe that thing about that person. ;P But why are Kara and Roslin still not talking?! This continues to frustrate the hell outta me. And I am SO HAPPY that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is back; like, I didn't realize how much I'd missed it. And that ep last week was off the chain: scary, intense and pretty much heartbreaking. Aw, Sarah+John.
ETA: Next time: At leasttwo three subjects I totally forgot to mention but am now too lazy to add! Hold your breath in anticipation.
